Sidewalk Film Festival 2018
Sidewalk Film Festival is one of the biggest annual film festivals in the South, bringing filmmakers and film buffs from near and far. Held in the entertainment district of Birmingham, Alabama, movie goers get the opportunity to watch films screened across venues and genres. From 15 minute short films to feature length films, there's something for everyone. The Alabama Theater, Lyric Theater, McWane Science Center, and the make shift drive-in theater served as venues for some of the nation's best creative minds. Sidewalk Film curates unique experiences during their festival week; documentary filmmaker talks, the VIP lounge, and the SHOUT LGBTQ Film Festival encompass just a few of the weeks monumental events. I got the capture the people who are typically behind the camera during their moment to shine. It was a pleasure to support independent films and filmmakers as an official festival photographer.
The 2018 installment of Sidewalk Film Festival also happened to be their 20 year anniversary, see my images featured on AL.COM: https://www.al.com/life-and-culture/erry-2018/09/a8e37c54ae9721/sidewalk-in-photos-20-years-at.html
